![]() ![]() ![]() It should come as no surprise to the American people that we're not very well liked over there, because of our support of Israel (the least popular country in the world) and our need for lots of oil, and.well, you get the idea. ![]() Among the myriad nations that comprise the area around the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean Sea there is a lot of religiously contested land, a lot of oil deposits, and a whole bunch of ages-old political enemies. The Middle East has been a political hot spot since.well, pretty much since the dawn of time. I hope you'll read it anyway, and at least agree to disagree. As always, if you do not view things through Reagan Red-tinted glasses, you're not going to like what I'm about to say. However, I'm going to concentrate on something I think is much more important: the role of the United States military, the perception of that role in Washington D.C., and the controversy surrounding the war in Iraq. I know that I've been promising my co-workers a post about female teachers molesting their male students, and I promise that I will include what little I have to say about that at the end of this post. I hope you're well rested after my rant about "offshoring" because we're going to jump right back into the thick of things today. Welcome back to my brain turned loose on the internet! /cackle ![]()
